#12 Playing with Atlas (beta)
[update] : there is an error at 1:26 when I add a ScrollView then a CollectionView in it. In fact, there already is a ScrollView in the CollectionView, so you can simply skip the ScrollView. I’ve updated the code of the episode.
In this episode, I’ll try to show you the basics of Atlas (which is available as a public beta since yesterday). I will assume that you already watched episodes #8 and episode #9, cause in this screencast, I’ll reuse part of the code that was written during those episodes. The small application written in this screencast is far from complete, but it will give you a taste of what you can do with Cappuccino and Atlas.

Thanks for this. Good to see a rough sketch of it without paying $20.
Anyone have any idea what Atlas is going to cost when it goes final? I don’t want to waste time on it or get too excited about it if they are going to price it crazy high.
Looks pretty impressive, though the text editor doesn’t look like something I’m going to be happy with since I am used to mac programming editors (BBEdit, Xcode, etc).

Thanks for this and all of the other screencasts!
I played around with the demo that is on Github and I noticed that the post titles jump to the left after adding a post and then part of the post title is cut off. If I delete a post the post titles jump back to their original spot.
Other thank that- thanks to you I am learning quite a bit!
Cheers,
Calvin
Hi, any plan to record more cappuccinocasts?
@andré : I hope I can find the time in the near future!
I love your cappuccinocasts! — Very polished and direct to the point.
Thank you so much for your fine contributions to the Cappuccino community.
@Randy : Thanks for your message, I hope I can release some more in the near future.
Great tutorial.
Thank you for this tutorial, i have to say its excellent for beginners like me. Quick question. Im not actually sure if this is a generic cappuccino question, or specific to this tutorial, but adding a new note only seems to work in browsers like chrome and safari but not in IE? (Im on IE8). I can upload a screencast to demonstrate the bug if you like?
@Khuram Malik : Hey, thanks for your message!
This example uses a fairly old version of the framework, lot has happened since it was published. You should try to update the framework and check the Google Group for IE8 support.

Thomas.
